It is hard to argue about getting a free lunch even among friends.

But what about a free wine? Well, there is such a place where one could get a glass of free wine without any prior purchase of another item on a menu as in a restaurant. The beauty is that it is being served 24 hours a day without any prior reservation.

However there is still a catch. It’s in Central Italy, a fine wine country. To be more preside, it is at a small tourist town call Caldari di Ortona at Dora Sarchese vineyard.

Prom 2016 season has seen another rite-of-passage for the High School graduates in America showing their best in fashion.

Each year, the fashion changes and 2016 is no exception.

From Pennsylvania to Texas or from California to Florida, High school graduating seniors adorn their choice of Tuxedos or Gowns to celebrate their achievement in their basic education. Many would continue to higher education in colleges and universities while others would choose to go straight into the work-force or trade schools.

What would the future lay for this new generation?

While some would suggest and give advice, a few would try to predict.

But it is very much up to the youths of today to siege and to seek their own future.

Surely the current generation would guide them and would not only wish them the best?

Delfino Morales, a Mixteco cook, found himself to like it so much that he learnt to specialize in Japanese cooking.

He has recently decided to make his new home in the growing Pittsburgh City of Pennsylvania.

After earning his apprenticeship in a competitive field of fine Japanese cooking in New York City and Hartford, Connecticut, Mr. Morales chose to continue to expend his career in Pittsburgh.

When interviewed, he said he loves the weather of the cooler Western Pennsylvania to the humid New York City. Moreover, Morales is impressed with the friendliness of the easy going of the Steelers city residents.

In Pittsburgh, Morales said he felt appreciated of his culinary arts and skills. It is one profession; he loves to show off to satisfy his hungry customers.

Chef Mya, a ninety eighty pound cooking sensation is taking Pittsburgh to a new level in her creative vegan dishes. She uses the freshest ingredients for all her dishes.

A meal with Chef Mya is an experience by itself. Not only you will be eating healthy, you will also be getting some education on eating food that we have so often missed on the true meaning of eating and socializing among friends or even families. A dinner reservation is often needed to participate one of Chef Mya’s dinners. She is a one woman show that contracted local restaurants around Pittsburgh with her pop-up restaurants venues.

Coming to America from her homeland in Burma or Myanmar, Chef Mya, grew up with her family at a home where spices and vegetables are grown around her backyard. Proteins are raised in the form of chickens and ducks. Her family, like many families in Myanmar found it practical and economical in self-sufficient by living off the land where the weather is conducive year round to cultivate vegetables and raise small livestock in the outer city suburbs or country side. Growing up in such an environment, Chef Mya, learned to cook with her mother by using the freshest of ingredients that nature could provides right from the garden at their home.

Chef Mya is planning this coming May on a healthy bike ride from the US East coast across country to the West coast. She will be spreading her healthy food diet and her culinary skills along the way by working in restaurants along her journey. The staff at USAPost & WorldNews wishes her the best in her mission.

Ghana celebrated Easter last Sunday which include a colorful ceremonious parade along the street in the oil rich city of Sekondi.  More than 1,000 people lined the streets to celebrate Easter in Ghana's small port city of Sekondi. The Christian religion’s biggest occasion is trumpeted  by a joyous crowd all dressed up in colorful costumes and their Sunday best.

Archbishop Robert J. Carlson of St Louis is trying to distance the Roman Catholic church from the Girl Scouts, which he says supports transgender rights, homosexuality and other stances at odds with Catholic values.

Archbishop Carlson wrote to priests and the faithful and to the scout leadership to discuss alternatives for the Girls Scouts movement. He pointed out that a new guideline is to be set for this organization to operate on church properties. His change of policy is base on his views that the teachings of the Girl Scout movement today do not match the core teachings of the church.  

“Girl Scouts is exhibiting a troubling pattern of behavior and it is clear to me that as they move in the ways of the world it is becoming increasingly incompatible with our Catholic values,” the archbishop wrote in the letter, dated Feb. 18.

American families in the country celebrate Thanksgivings Holidays with festivities by enjoying meals with their families at home, watching sport games on TVs and others watch the most popular parade organized by Macys' Departmental store in New York city. Many journeyed to the city and line up the parade routes to watch their favorite’s movie characters on display. There are those who watch their favorites of various matching bands or just watch their favorite celebrities participating in the parade. The young refugees that fled with their mothers from the Middle East, particularly from Syria face a U.S. country-wide debate in the media that project them as dangerous. Those who oppose taking in these refugees argued that they might pose security ricks. These debates have been taken place that put the country’s moral responsibility to refugees with that of the risks to their national security.

Even most of the Republican Presidential candidates are calling with their party members in Congress to legislate to put a halt to accept them into the country. Over 30 States Governors asked the Federal government not to send any Syrian refugees to their respective States. However, the original wording of the Bill measures was quickly watered down to pass a bill that would be making it a tighter control to the screening process of refugees. This was after President Obama has hinted at not endorsing the original tough measure.

Sadly, the debates took the path of fear and the raising concerns for national security. The actual process to grant approval for refugees is done by the U.S. Immigration Department. There are a number of checks and balances with collaboration with the Department of State. The record by this process has been one of the best in the world. Of the last 975,000 refugees since the Iraq war that was granted admission to the U.S., only about a dozen were arrested related to terror activity. The majority of those who seek refuge have been innocent children and women.

Contrary to France, the country that was recently attacked, their government leaders rose up to their commitment to accept 30,000 from Syria alone, the very country that the attackers were suspected to be from. The war-torn Middle East region has caused the flight of over 4 million from Syria alone.

So far, the U.S. has only committed to accept 10,000 before the attacks happened. The Bill that Congress passed was only at the House of Representatives. The next process needs the passing from the Senate in which the Democratic Party has the majority. The majority leader, Senator Reid in a press conference said that he would see that this Bill would not pass at the Senate. If he succeeded to block the passage of this Bill at the Senate, then there is no need for the President to veto it as he had indicated when asked by the press when he was in the Philippines. He is there for the APEC trade summit. Even if it passed upon his return from the summit, the Bill might not be presented by Congress till after the Thanksgiving Holidays for the President to weight on whether to sign the Bill into law.

Even though the Bill has passed through the House of Representatives through the legislative process at the Capitol Hill, the debates continue in the media.

President Jimmy Carter graduated at the top of his class at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis during his time there.

Yet when he was elected the President of the U.S. with the world’s greatest military power, he has shown the greatest restrain from using the force he has within his finger tip. That is an extraordinary display as a man of peace.  In fact his Camp David Peace Accords with the President of Egypt, Anwar El Sadat and Israel Prime Minister, Menachem Begin  on September 17th 1978 was one of the highlights of his career. So far, till today there has not been any closer peace overture in the Middle East compared to this peace deal.

As a real man of peace, he opts for diplomacy and goodwill rather than a show of might to force compliance on any party. President Jimmy Carter has shown what a true great Statesmen the world could learn from. His legacy could have been just that, a world-class leader and a great Statesman.

The mission of Prophet Papa Nouveau, today still has an impact on the lives of many in Ivory Coast. But would the future have any inkling to the survival of the church he founded?

Born in Toukouzou in 1901, the self-proclaimed prophet Papa Nouveau was an uneducated man who spoke only his native language, Avicam .

He began his peace mission on the 12th January 1937. He founded the holy city he called Hozalem. As a father of 33 children, the prophet had four wives before he started his missionary work.

The city of Hozalem is located just 1 mile outside of Toukouzou. When he began his mission, he was accused of witchcraft. He suffered many hardships during his mission. He was imprisoned at Grand- Lahou from 1937 to 1942. Still he persevered to carry out his missionary work. Among his teachings he prophesied that black and white will eat at the same table during the segregated French colony in his time. He also foresees the liberation of Nelson Mandela, and the eventual Independence of Ivory Coast. In his teachings he also foresees the war in Ivory Coast and the acceptance of marriage among mixed race. Because of all these Prophecies and the ideas he was preaching, he was arrested and put in prison. He died 20th September 2001. Today, there is still no successor to the church he built.

2015 marks the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War.

Pictures of the early refugees who fled Vietnam by boats are captured in these photos in 1978. They landed in the state of Sarawak, Malaysia.

The boat in the background show the kind of vessel that made the perilous voyage.

In this very boat, 290 risked their lives in the open sea with it and left Vietnam. Most of them had nothing but the clothes they had on their backs. The boat was not a sea-faring boat for their journey. It is more of a vessel suitable for rivers or coast line use rather than going across the sea in it.

While these were the fortunate refugees, many were less so and had died along the journey.
