Pope Francis prays for Peace

Pope Francis appeal to families in Europe to extend a helping hand to the refugees.

On his recent visit to the U.S. he reminded Americans that this is the land of immigrants and that all Americans should tolerate each other to make this country a great country. Pope Francis himself was born in Argentina from European heritage. He too considers his birth country as a country of immigrants. He was speaking for the unity for families of immigrants all over the world to love and respect one another as Christ's teachings would encompass. Overall, his impression of Americans is a country of warmth and loving people. The recent turmoil in the Middle East has cause a mass flight of refugees to mostly European countries. Many had died in their journey for lack of means and safe transportation. In the seas, thousands drowned. On land many more encountered hunger or worst hostile resistance from countries they were fleeing to. Pope Francis took upon himself to pray and to appeal for Christian love and understanding to help these refugees. Many were women and children trying to escape from the fighting in the Middle East and also from some African countries.
