The Speaker of the House and Leadership among the GOP

Now that he is confirmed, how would Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) handles the Speakership of the House post?Many have been clamoring him to take up the leadership role the past several weeks that few could see that among the GOP leadership could get the majority to support. The recent surprised withdrawal of Majority Leader, Congressman Kevin McCarthy of California gave way to an open field for that position. Though many would like to be the Speaker but few among the Republicans could garner the support of a much splintered group of politicians among the GOP. The popularity and leadership style of Congressman Ryan would be a favorite choice to fill in the position vacated by Speaker John Boehner who stepped down at the end of last month.With the new leadership changed, the GOP would hope to reinvent them to prepare for their bid to replace the democrat-held Presidency among their party's Presidential hopefuls.
